Description:
The McCabe Gasoline Level Indicator Paste is for checking the depth of Fuel in Tanks.
The gasoline paste is a light sky blue paste that turns a darker blue when immersed in gasoline, diesel, kerosene, naphtha, #2 heating oil, light crude oil, jet fuel, plant oils, and numerous petrochemicals, giving you a visual indication as to the depth of fuel. It has a thick, toothpaste-like consistency.
To Use:Spread a smooth, even coat of the product on the bob or gauging device where you expect the air/product interface to be located. Once entering the product, leave immersed for approximately five to ten seconds and the paste will turn a dark blue. (Please note that some heavier products may require a longer immersion time.) When reading the results, note a straight, sharp demarcation on the gauging device, light blue above/dark blue below.
Note:If the gasoline paste separates over time, stir to remix to its original light sky blue color with a thick, toothpaste-like consistency before us
The paste has a shelf life of 3 years, and is best stored between 7 and 27C. Supplied in a 113 gram tub.
